Consequences of Demerit Behavior expectations of cheerleaders, during cheerleading activities, school activities and behavior out side of school will remain high throughout the year. Since the cheerleaders represent Lake Dallas Middle School and Lake Dallas Independent School District, it is important to represent ourselves in an appropriate manner.  Demerits Consequences  1 demerit Sit out one game and one pep rally. Must dress out and sit in stands 2 demerits Sit out 2 games and 2 pep rallies, Must dress out and sit in stands 3 demerits Suspended from the sporting event season; no dressing out or sitting in stands. · One verbal warning will be given before the first demerit is given unless the infraction resulted in an ISS placement by an administrator. · Note: A ride must be provided for the cheerleader to be picked up on time for after school practices and games.  With the understanding that extenuating circumstances occur, a cheerleader not having a ride home more than twice and/or habitually late will lead to a conference with parents and consequences will be decided by the sponsors and principal.  Cheerleading sponsors/school faculty are prohibited from giving a child a ride home from school/school events; therefore, it is the parent’s responsibility to see that their daughter gets picked up on time.
