School hours:
School hours are 7:50-3:00. Students may be dropped off behind the school at 7:30. They can go to breakfast or the gym until 7:50. Your child is tardy after the announcements and pledges.
Tuesday folders:
A folder will come home each Tuesday with your child’s work and other important information from the school. Please check for this each Tuesday, remove the papers and return the folder on Wednesday.
Home Reading folders
Reading folders will be sent home each week with books for you to read with your camper. These books are easy and predictable. They may even memorize them. This is a fun way to begin reading.
Friday folders
This will go home every Friday afternoon and you will return it Friday morning of the next week. There is a calendar in the folder with many homework ideas for you to do with your child. Please complete 3 assignments each week and return the assignments in the green folder (some assignments won’t have any work to turn in- if a song write title of song). I hope you and your child enjoy this time together!
Illness
Sick campers should stay at home for 24 hours after fever or vomiting.Parents are to send a note regarding missed school. All medication is handled through the nurses office.
Getting Home
Teachers must be given a note if there is a change of routine regarding how a child gets home. Example: if a child is to be picked up instead of riding the bus. 
Visiting our school
All parents must report to the office upon entering our building. If your child is late you must sign them in at the office.
If you are waiting for your child to be dismissed at the end of the day, please wait at the end of the Kindergarten hall.
Exiting the building
Please do not exit the building at the door to the kindergarten hall. This door is to remain locked and no one is to enter or exit the building except through the office. Please do not open the door and allow anyone into the building. Help us keep our building safe and secure for all our campers
Bus Riders
Kindergarten campers will not be let off the bus unless an older sibling is with them or an adult is at the bus stop to pick them up. If a child does not get off at the bus stop they will be taken back to the school and parent will be called.
Volunteers
If you would like to help you are more than welcome! You can read with individual students, offer to take my lunch or recess duty :) or make things for the class at home. Be sure to check out our workroom where help is always needed. All volunteers must pass a criminal check before volunteering with our campers.
Birthdays
Birthday treats are welcome, they are served at 1:30 or later.
No party invitations will be distributed at school unless every child in the class is invited.
Rest Time 
Your camper needs to bring a towel for rest time. The towel will be kept in their backpack. Please wash it each weekend and return it to their backpack. Rest time is 30 minutes of quiet rest. All campers will need a little “down time”.
Money
Money will be requested for field trips, parties and special activities.
Please send money in a sealed envelope labeled with child’s name and the teacher’s name.
Lunch Time Visitors
You are welcome to join your camper for lunch. Please meet us in the café at 10:45. You can eat the cafeteria food or bring in lunch for you and your child.
Lunch money can be paid in advance in the cafeteria. Send lunch money in an envelope labeled with their name and their lunch code.
