Parents and Students:
On the left, there are some icons with the Social Skills we are working on in class. If you click on the icon it will take you to a certain Social Skill. Please practice these skills at home with your child. Here are some suggestions you can use to practice these skills.
Ways you can practice these skills:
role play--which is pretending to be in a situation where you have to use
the skill. (if you have a video camera you can video tape your child
role playing situations)
list the skills on paper from memory
repeat the skills out loud from memory
use note cards to practice Social Skills
make a memory game with note cards
draw a cartoon with the characters using a social skill
The most important thing when practicing these Social Skills is to have fun doing it.
