Supply Lists

6th Grade Art
7th Grade Art and
8th Grade Advanced Art Classes

Periodically Hobby Lobby and Michael's Arts and Carfts will put their sketchbooks on sale. To see other discounted offers throughout the year on art supplies from Hobby Lobby and Michael's go to Hobbylobby.com or Michaels .com

In order for all art students to be successful in class they must purchase and maintain a list of art supplies during the school year. Pencils and erasers will not be available to borrow from the teacher. Students are responsible for bringing these supplies to class everyday. Students not having the appropriate supplies will be given an alternate reading assignment from the textbook. The following items can be purchased at your local Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

1  9"x12" spiralbound sketchbook - 50 sheets or more (Sketchbooks with other types of binding are okay also but tend to fall apart quicker and easier.) It may be necessary for students to purchase an additional sketchbook if they use all pages before the end of the semester.

1 package  #2 pencils with erasers on end

2  Magic Rub or Pink Pearl erasers (Note: ArtGum tends to crumble easily.)

1 3-ring flexible plastic folder - this will be used to hold all worksheets and will become a workbook for the course. It will be kept in the classroom along with the sketchbook.

2 (22" x 24") sheets of white posterboard

2 (22" x 24") sheets of black posterboard

2 twin-tip black Sharpie markers

1 package of markers - thin or broad tip

1 hand-held pencil sharpener - please no electric or battery operated sharpeners

1  box of facial tissues

The middle school art teachers also have a limited supply of the above items for purchase through the school.
