AP Calculus focuses on the development of students' understanding of the concepts of calculus and offers to provide applicable methods to gain comprehension of the calculus curriculum as outlines by the Collage Board. Calculus is fundamentally different than other mathematics classes. It examines change and motion through a limit process. Therefore, students are encouraged to grasp the ideas of "why" calculus works the way that it does as they discover the mechanics of "how" calculus works.
