Each Monday homework assignments will be on the board for the students to write down.  Each student will be responsible for writing down his or her own incomplete work. I will always go over assignments and remind the students to bring their work home.
Homework is important; it teaches responsibility, develops good study habits, reinforces lessons, and prepares students for upcoming lessons and tests.  Homework should not take more than 30 minutes a night.  In addition, time should be set aside for independent reading.  Encourage your child to do his/her best on their homework.  It should be done neatly and in pencil. I  encourage parents to review their child’s homework.  If they are having difficulty completing it independently, please contact me.
Homework will be sent home on Monday to be worked on throughout the week. Homework is due on Friday.Independent reading is suggested everyday. Children need routine and structure to be successful.
If a student is unable to complete the homework assignment by the due date, please write a note or send an email.
