The Learning Lab
The Learning Lab is designed to assist identified learning and at-risk students achieve their maximum potential in the mainstream classroom.
A student may leave the regular class and go to the Learning Lab only when independent work is being done. The student must be in the regular classroom during direct instruction, class discussion, group work, cooperative learning, peer tutoring, experiments or films.
Learning Lab services:
· discuss individual student’s strengths / weaknesses with classroom teachers
· develop study skills
· develop student responsibility
· aid in student organization
· test taking skills
· help with worksheet, written assignments, and / or anything involving textbooks
· study for test / exams
· read test to student and / or assist classroom teacher with test modifications
