TAKS measures the statewide curriculum in reading at Grades 3-9, in writing at Grades 4 and 7, and mathematics at Grades 3-11. Other subject areas are also tested at higher grade levels. Satisfactory performance on the TAKS at Grade 11 is prerequisite to a high school diploma.

3rd Grade TAKS
Third Graders will be required to pass the Reading portion of TAKS to be promoted to 4th grade. They will be given 3 opportunities to pass.
